Software that puts people first.

SparrowTek makes native iPhone apps and tools for the open web. We design for privacy first and build on open protocols wherever we can.

Meet the flock.

Eight apps for recovery, calm, podcasting, money and learning. Each one does a single job well and treats the people who use it with respect.

How we build

Four rules we build by.

  1. Private by design

Anchor works offline, with no account and no data collection. Avocadoge and Perch never ask you to sign up either.

  2. You hold the keys

Avocadoge creates your keys on your iPhone and they never leave it. Avocadough is a remote for a wallet you already own. Boostz sends support straight to the host.

  3. Open protocols

Effem is built on the AT Protocol and the Podcast Index, and Avocadough speaks Nostr Wallet Connect. We build on networks no single company controls, us included.

  4. Native to the core

Our iPhone apps are written in Swift and SwiftUI and kept current with each new iOS, so they feel at home on your iPhone instead of merely running on it.

Open source

The building blocks are yours, too.

The Swift packages underneath our apps are open source. Use them, fork them, send a fix.

The studio

Made in New Jersey.

SparrowTek LLC is an independent software studio. Our first app, Little Man Computer, went live on the App Store in November 2016. Since then we’ve built apps for recovery, calm, podcasting and money, and open-sourced the Swift packages underneath them.

Have an app you’d like to build together? We’d love to hear about it.
